KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

UX Research & Discovery (60%)

  • Plan, design, and conduct user research (in-depth interviews, usability testing, surveys, diary studies, field research, etc.) to uncover user needs and behaviors.
  • Synthesize findings into personas, journey maps, and opportunity frameworks to drive product decisions.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to define research goals and hypotheses aligned with business objectives.
  • Translate research insights into actionable recommendations and design concepts.
  • Maintain and evolve the internal research repository for cross-team knowledge sharing.

UX/UI Design & Delivery (40%)

  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs that align with UrBox’s brand and design system.
  • Ensure usability, accessibility, and visual consistency across products and platforms.
  • Conduct design validation and iteration based on user feedback and analytics.
  • Collaborate with engineers to ensure seamless handoff and implementation quality.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Business Analyst, and Business Development teams to align user experience with business goals.

Mentorship & Feedback

  • Provide guidance and mentorship for Junior/Mid-level Designers.
  • Constructively review and critique design work within the team.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Keep up-to-date with design trends, tools, and new technologies.
  • Initiate improvements in workflow, team process, and user experience.

Success Metrics:

  • Research Impact: Percentage of design decisions driven by research insights; stakeholder adoption rate of recommendations.
  • Design Quality: Visual consistency, accessibility compliance.
  • Leadership: Proactively lead initiatives and mentor others to elevate design quality.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Align effectively across functions and advocate for design decisions with data and rationale.
  • Process Ownership: Improve and streamline design workflow, documentation, and design QA.

User-centricity: Regularly validate designs with users and advocate for customer experience in product strategy

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Psychology, Information Technology or other fields related to UX Design.
  • Certification in UX Research is a plus

Design Skills

  • Strong foundation in user-centered design principles and UX research methodologies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma, FigJam, prototyping tools, and design documentation.
  • Experience working with and evolving Design Systems at scale.
  • Ability to analyze both qualitative and quantitative data and synthesize meaningful insights.
  • Solid understanding of design systems, accessibility, and product development lifecycle (Agile/Scrum).

Language Skills: Able to read and understand design-related English documentation.

Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in Product/UX/UI Design.
  • Proven experience designing complex digital products, ideally across both B2C and B2B.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams with engineers, PMs, and business stakeholders.
  • Experience in conducting user research and usability testing.

  • Strong communication and storytelling skills.

  • Ability to balance user needs with business objectives.
  • Passionate about design excellence and continuous learning.
